Resistor Calculator is freeware. This program can easily take the color bands of a resistor and return a nominal numeric value along with the upper and lower limits of the resistor. It will also take a nominal numeric value and return the correct color banding. To use this program just set the appropriate radio buttons and click calculate or command R. That is all there is to it.
